A day filled with excitement, it started with me getting to stay in bed until 9:00 am. That is not to say that I slept till then but I did not get rushed out of bed and do the normal hit the ground running. With two kids at grandma and grandpa's and Kamden resting from his lack of sleep the past couple of nights, it was nice. I finally went in to check on Kamden a few minutes after I got up, toting camera in hand in hopes of capturing a glimpse of a sleeping baby.
As I watch him lay there, I looked for something to catch his eye as he looked up at me. I then spotted his mobile hanging there, recognizing that it is never used any more. I said recognized, not accepted, that he was indeed not that tiny baby who is fascinated by this spinning display of animals.
We, then, got ourselves ready and headed over to pick up Dustin and Skylar and had to seek them out, as they were hiding from us. Skylar found a wonderful spot in the cats' sleeping cube. She also looked like she was trying to smuggle a cat home with her, on her pants, when she came out of there.
We ended the day with the family sitting around the coffee table watching the Super Bowl. It is the highlight of the event for our children to be able to do this. Dustin is showing more interest in each sport. He was a little disappointed that the Saints won though.
