August Part 2

Just a little taste of summer for those that need it. What a beautiful creation.
So as I promised (myself) I am posting the second half of August 2010. I feel the need to include the year since we have moved into the next and I am still 4 months behind. But my motto is, "Make the memories and take the pics, you can always document them later, right?" Any moment to be daddy's little girl is time well spent for Skylar.
So...that leads us to fun times at nana's and papa's and the added bonus to spend it with Grandma and Grandpa Waite. We know that one of these times will be the last that they be willing to travel to chilly New England so we try to make the most of those quiet moments. Oh, how nice that is to just sit with them and talk about the little things, watch the kids catch grasshoppers in a bowl, or watching frogs in the pond...
playing baseball with daddy (we've got another hitter on our hands:)
Cooking marshmellows. This one won't eat them but he'll cook one up for you. Always a Skylar favorite, walking the dogs.
Picking flowers...taking a picture lasts so much longer than the live ones. And now I can recall those little hands that gave it to me.
And a new favorite...pick blueberries and raspberries. What a find. Saying goodbye is always hard and capturing these moments are a must.
But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. 1 Timothy 5:4
