We made the second annual trip up to my mom's for the Winter Festival that takes place on Valentine's weekend. With 3 kids and a family that tends to do a lot together, it seemed like a great activity. Not to mention, that once Dustin found out that they did it every year, he was sure to make it known that he was looking forward to another excuse to go up to Nana's and Papa's.
The day started with a walk through the snow to see any animal tracks. A little tricky for a 2 1/2 foot tall boy. He needed all the help he could get.
I like this picture of Papa lending a hand.
Then we headed over to the festival for sleeding down the mountainous hill, which Skylar was the only one brave enough to try, and she did it more than a handful of times,
pictures at the snow castle, the parade and

The horse joring is a special event.
We learned last year that you don't want to attend this snowy event without sunglasses. Though there was much fun this day, including a boys wrestling match, it was not all play.
Adam was put to work repairing the ceiling that had water damage on the sheetrock.
He fixed the piping last time which made my mom and Jeff very happy. It feels nice to be able to help others.

Who knew there were so many activities to do in the cold snow! You got some good shots...even a couple of Dustin. Nice to have a little getaway place.
