February 12th
Today was Valentine's celebrations at school. I volunteered in Skylar's classroom and took Kamden with me for the ride. He did well. I used to do this every week in Dustin's class, with Skylar and she hung in like the rest of them. She was very easy to bring along. Thankfully for Kamden, it was more of a laid back day with it being the day before vacation and it is preschool. But Skylar was happy to share her day with him.
And the children in the class were happy to share their special snacks with him. They know how to make friends with him.

Later that day, we went to Dustin's class for his party. Another time for some special snack and a story. Kamden prefers the cookie part of the event.
This is the morning message from Dustin's classroom. His writing is coming along well.
We finished the day off by driving to my mom's for the weekend. After tucking himself in, Kamden finally decided to give in to the sleep police. How sweet.
February 11thWell, Kamden figured out how to draw with his yogurt spoon. It definitely is encouraging when your sister is sitting next to you laughing as your doing it, too.
First thing in the morning, before school, the kids were surprised with a knock a the door. "It's Nana, it's Nana, " Dustin screams as he peaks out the window.
Kamden joins in then meets her at the door with, "Abby?" He wanted to know if she brought her dog.

She is always greeted with such loveliness. The embracing hugs make it worth the 3 hour drive.
Tuesday's are the perfect day for keeping her busy with a full days worth of activities, from play groups (which I gave her a break from) to pick ups from school, to gymnastics, then to basketball. It is so nice for the kids to be able to show Nana the things that they get to do.
