September 23

Thirteen years have passed
since the day that you have died
and only God the Father
knows the reason why.
~
I, alone, can only trust
in His unfailing love
to help me through this trying time.
So I call on Him above...
~
Lord, you know all there is to know.
I ask for you to show me now,
My heavenly Father's love.

To seek the approval and recognition of the Lord of Lords is the Father I aim to please.

"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised." Hebrews 10:35,36

Wow, the verse of the day was right there Lord, thank you for your word. You know what we need. Thank you Father who is always there.

Be Still Know You Are God

Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover me
within your mighty hand.
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the stormFather you are king over the flood
I will be still, know you are God.
Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know His power
In quietness and trust
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still, know you are God.
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still know you are God.
Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know His power
In quietness and trust.
I will be still, know you are God.

I Can Do It Myself

These pics are to catch you up for June. Just some cute shots to show where we are at. So much happens in just one summer that you feel like you can't just let it slip by.
Still a work in progress. Skylar is not as excited as Dustin was for himself or how excited he is for her to learn.
Kamden tried to get his own "baby suit"on. Complete with tank top between the legs and everything. Couldn't figure out why he was still wearing a pull-up till I realized it was a morning at my mom's. We did this as a precaution in case nana is a sounder sleeper than his parents. During the summer a friend had an open house still invitation at the lake. We had fun just dropping in and hanging out with lots of kids. Some weeks there were 16 kids.
A June field trip to Bakerwoods. I can hold the bunny all by myself...
but I will not go near that turkey all by myself. It's ok neither will I.
I will post a separate entry or entries for our big vacationing that occurred in June. So keep watch. These pics will all be raw and uneditted as I have not figured out how to crop and edit on the new system yet. So now we will get a real feel for my unaltered "talents."

Conversations With Dustin

Well, we lost our computer a few months back and we decided that we had grown quite attached to having one around so we excused the purchase of buying one by me signing up to sell home products again. (Gotta have one for that.) What I found that I had missed the most was the contact with the outside world through email and most of all blogging. Though it is a big time consumer, I do enjoy that I am capturing those memories for my children and myself to be able to recall when they are older.

It is those little, conversations that make me laugh, that I want to remember.

Thursday Sept 16
When talking with Dustin about his youth activities, he told me he like when they "went in the cemetery, that's where they told us the rules of the game." Though I do not know everything about this church, I did feel the need to ask, "where did you go?" "You dropped me off there, where you and daddy used to have church!" Then it clicked, the sanctuary.

Sunday Sept 19
After much talk about wanting a quad, we informed Dustin that he could do the same as a friend and earn money by doing jobs and then he could buy a quad with his hard earned money. (Nothing in this house comes free.) I began to tell him that he could vacuum to earn money. He responded with, "Id rather scoop poop." This after he had gained the experience of doing this job at nana and papa's. I reminded him that we don't have a dog. So he quickly said, "I can ask the neighbors." I helped with that conversation as to not scare the neighbor off. Our kind neighbor, reassured us that he would keep Dustin in mind for small jobs like raking leaves.
Monday Sept 20
As we walked out the door this morning for school, Dustin requested that we be quiet (as the neighbors were sleeping). "Or I (Dustin) might lose my job." He wanted to respect the neighbors so he didn't lose his job, how funny.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ that you are serving. Colossians 3:23,24
