Dustin was invited for his first friend-sleepover. His long-time friend, Brody was celebrating his 8th birthday with a sleepover with three friends. It worked out nicely since Dustin knew one of the boys from church and the other was his cousin P.J. The only two that seemed to have a little bit of disagreements were the family boys. That speaks well for 4 boys and 2 girls in the same house. Dustin did well and I did not get a call in the middle of the night. I did not expect one. But I did get a large hug when I went to get him after the snow storm had cleared for the time being.

Daddy was there on Tuesday to come with me when it was gymnastics time for Skylar and pick-up time for Dustin. It is by the grace of God that he was even here at all. So it was a nice treat for the kids to see him come back through the door by 8:00 the same morning that he had left for work already.
See Adam had left for work on this snowy morning. Then I got a call on my cell within 20 minutes from him, saying that he was coming home. With a tremble in his voice he continued to tell me about the tractor trailer that was sliding towards him while he was stopped at a red light. He pulled out of the way by jumping a curb and slipping into an abandoned parking lot. We are not hesitant to thank the Lord his protection.
With the Lord's reminder about appreciating the time we each have together, I was happy to have the boys willing to snuggle me. I pray that they would always be willing to show me affection even when they are cool. Dustin is trying to tolerate Kamden's learning to share mommy.
The sleepover from the night before inspired some sleeping on the floor at home. Both the kids were excited to have a sleepover of their own. We did not hear a peep from either one of them once it was lights out.

This picture does not do justice to the wild hair that Skylar dawned for much of her day until gymnastics. The funny part is that this is her typical doo at home.

Super sweet sleeping pics and that's a great picture of you on the couch with the boys!
