Week 1~ 2010

January 6th

This is Ginormica, Kamden's new dance partner. Though it is Skylar's, the two of them fight over who is going to dance with her when the music is on. Kamden is great at leading. He twirls her around till he is dizzy. He doesn't get his dance desire from daddy. Maybe Ginormica gets some of her stiff moves from that direction though.

January 5th

Another getting ready for school picture. It seems like the mornings are so busy here. So I thought it was a nice change to see Dustin chill with Skylar's watermelon hat on.

After I get the kids to school, it is just Kamden and I. This day he was content to color Elmo. I totally enjoy watching him with all his concentration holding his pencil.

Look at that little lip as he puckers it while drawing.

As nap time approached, Skylar had to use the bathroom. She did so fine and then went to her mat. Then she came back to the kitchen to tell me that she needed something. So by looking at her I could tell just what it was. But I was wrong. She needed a stuffed animal from her room. I called her back and asked her if she was missing anything else. It took her a minute to realize the Elmo look, all in red, was missing her skirt. Gotta love her. The little things don't matter much to her. In a couple of years, leaving the bathroom without your skirt may bother you a little more. January 4th

I said to myself that I wanted to recall the little moments. Those moments that, at the time, just seem like a hastle but you then realize are a tiny funny. Kind of like the Pepsi can. Well, this one is not quite as big of a mess but it was cute.

I was in the other room getting things ready for school and I heard, "Swoosh, swoosh...swoosh." I walked into the room to find this. Apparently, Kamden felt like he needed a tissue, or he liked the sound it was making. But the look on his face was as if he was saying, "Now who did this?"
