I contemplated how to tell my children about the importance of today. Dressed in their red, white and blue we prayed for God to protect us throughout this day as they headed off to school. It is not unlike any other day that we pray this. But today we made sure that "the bad guys" did not win. I shared that there are some guys that want the people of the United States to be mean to eachother and we don't want them to win. We want to show kindness and love to others. May this be every day.

A day to take the time to enjoy and celebrate family and friends and the blessing we have of living in these United States. God Bless The United States. Not just a phrase but be with us, Oh Lord.
